Finally beached it today
I had a great day at Litchfield today with my sister and NO Children..not that I don’t love my kids, nieces and nephews, students, etc., but I do enjoy and appreciate a little kid-free time. Also, I could park easily at Litchfield, no traffic, and I think I’ll be back. Not like the threading the needle parking at Pawley’s or the 7000 people at IOP. Heavy sigh — loved it.
Thanks Karen for coming with and bringing triscuits. The smell of salt water makes me instantly want to eat a small side of beef with watermelon on the side — so thank God Karen had some rations (and soy nuts – yum) in her beach bag. I should have taken a pic. to post of the street artist at the Food Lion in P.I. — very cool paintings for CHEAP, but I’ll go by again and see him.
Business is booming everywhere — even when I’m just sitting on the beach. Mr. Ice Cream cracked me up pushing/pulling his ice cream boat which I loved. I hope he makes a million dollars this summer.
And — the final cherry on top, I bought gas in Georgetown for $3.03/gallon! yippee — maybe we’ll slide under the $3 wire : )
