What I did during my summer vacation…

Day 11 – Making Sunscreen

Tested my first batch yesterday at the beach, but made more this morning with Gene’s lotion (which I love), but I still have a ghostly palor when I wear it. Palor or skin cancer? It’s a tough choice. Carol will be a tester (and lotion provider – Thanks).

It’s so easy. I ordered zinc oxide online and you just mix with lotion of your choice. I could make lotion with shea butter and lots of other ingredients, but why reinvent the wheel. I’ll see how my Gene’s Sunscreen works.


After a long day in the sunscreen lab, I had a lovely cocktail prepared by my bartender, Jeff.
